Hell’s bells in the mud

There are fates much worse than mine

First to fall was the younker lad
Dropped from the top sail cannon clad
Where once he was both flesh and bones
Now he’s having tea with Davey Jones

Was it blunderbus or thundergun
Blasted the brain of the old boatswain?
He splattered ‘round the starboard deck
